Denon is expanding its world of S-series with four new models.
New compact 2.1 systems, models S-302 and S-102, mark a major leap forward in compact home entertainment connectivity and convenience, while Denon’s first two Networked Audio Products, models S-52 and S-32, deliver a smart way to play music from your computer throughout the home.

Kawasaki, Japan, August 30, 2007 – Denon, an industry leader in home entertainment technology, today announced the 2nd generation products in a family of advanced "S-Series" integrated home entertainment systems.
Hirofumi Ichikawa, President at Denon Brand Company, noted: "The S series has been accepted quite well all over the world since its introduction in 2005. It has set a standard in a user-friendly home theater system that merged the technology for superior sound and picture quality that Denon has developed over many years with a policy of ensuring simple operation. With the new S-series, I believe that Denon will be establishing another new position for itself in the world of home entertainment." The two Denon 2.1-channel surround sound DVD home entertainment systems, models S-302 (SRP: $1,699) and S-102 (SRP: $999) maintain the same compact form factor from previous S-series, with minor cosmetic differences to the speakers, with significant feature and convenience enhancement. The S-102 will scale content from its built-in DVD player up to 1080p, outputting it via HDMI, and the S-302 will upconvert all analogue sources to HDMI, with scaling to a 1080p image. Additionally, both S-302 and S-102 will perform I/P conversion from interlaced to progressive scan. Designed as total high-performance home entertainment solutions, the new S-Series systems are complete and compact, featuring integrated DVD/receiver units with a stylish remote, dual satellite speakers and high-performance subwoofers.
Denon’s S-52 (SRP $699) and S-32 (SRP $499) Networked Audio Systems feature the ability to stream music wirelessly from Internet Radio sources and other network attached storage devices, PC or Mac computers on the network.
Both S-52 and S-32 also feature a buit-in dock for iPod® for easy drop-in functionality.
All the S-series has the ability to decode MP3 and WMA formats as well as AAC, WAV, and those encoded in Free Lossless Audio Codec.
Smart Operation: Total Simplicity of Set-up and Operation
Denon engineers designed all new S-Series systems from the ground up with the goal of fusing high-quality audio performance with elegance, ease-of-use and advanced connectivity. For simplicity of operation, users can access all features and functions of the systems either via the remote, or the front panel controls (S-302/S-102), or multi-task jog wheel on top (S-52/S-32). The S-52/S-32’s high contrast graphic LCD will give a simple yet enough information in actual life. The S-302/S-102 hooked up to a TV set ensures the operation status given in the intuitively designed family-friendly GUI (graphic user interface) in multi language.
Smart Theater: No-Compromise Audio and Video Performance (S-302/S-102)
The Denon S-302 and S-102 systems are designed for total no-compromise audio and video, featuring state-of-the-art sound and image enhancing technologies including high quality video circuit using high precision video DAC. Even with its compact size, its dynamic sound is evident from the bottom to the top. Denon’s experienced electronics engineering and latest technology make everything alive as ever. The Denon original AL24 Processing technology found on Denon’s A/V receivers and DVD/CD players is built into the S-302/102, which allows closer-to-the-original sound reproduction of digitalized music signals. The Denon original high quality DVD drive mechanism together with its careful chasis construction actualizes stable disc rotation and concise signal reading , thereby adding further to the finest in sound and image production. The speakers are fine-tuned for both sound track and movie, and they can be wall-mounted, attached to the optional shelf stands (ASF-S05), or to the optional floor stands (ASF-S07) to fit one’s life style. With Denon’s electronics engineering, Audyssey Dynamic EQ & Bass-XT turn into reality to give powerful and dynamic audio and movie reproduction through the systems. The volume level of the slim yet powerful subwoofer can be adjusted if ever required.
Smart Network: Enjoy music anytime, anywhere – wirelessly.
The WiFi certified S-302, S-52, and S-32 offer the music client function with the ability to stream music either via Ethernet, or wirelessly from Internet Radio sources and other network attached storage devices, PC or Mac computers on the network. The S-302 can even play photo libraries in PC/Mac for slide shows.
The optional ASD-3N WiFi certified dock for iPod when used together with the S-102 enables the S-102 to do the same network functionality of the S-302.
Smart Sound: Simply be impressed by the power with quality (S-52/S-32)
The same serious engineering with passion and know-how is put in the electronics to reproduce the best quality in class. The S-52/S-32 built-in speakers were targeted to have internationally accepted sound reproduction excellent for music. Like S-302 and S-102, with Denon’s electronics engineering, Audyssey Dynamic EQ, Spatial EQ & Bass-XT turn into reality to give powerful bass response and dynamic and special audio reproduction through the systems. S-52/S-32 comes with a clock with 2 alarms with auto clock set & adjust via internet, and FM/AM radio. S-52 plays CDs, and USB music device in addition to digital radios (DAB/XM/HD) available in regions.
